A New Women’s and Maternity Center – A Safe, Nurturing Space for Mothers and Families
The Women and Maternity Department at Shamir Medical Center boasts one of the highest birth rates in the country and is widely recognized for its exceptional staff and comprehensive range of services. Each year, thousands of women choose the department for childbirth, gynecology, and fertility services — all of which serve as major growth drivers for the medical center.
Given the area’s significant population growth — particularly among young families — the annual birthrate at Shamir Medical Center is projected to increase from 8,000 to approximately 12,000 births per year.
To meet this growing demand, the hospital is launching the construction of a new three-story maternity wing, adjacent to the existing maternity building. The new 7,500-square-meter facility will include:
40 private postpartum suites for mothers and their families
State-of-the-art delivery rooms
Thoughtfully designed spaces tailored to the needs of mothers and their loved ones
