On the second day of research by the late Ziggy Goncharovsky, which was held at the Shamir Medical Center, the outstanding research works of the doctors of the Gastroenterology Institute over the past year were presented.

The research proposal that won first place by Prof. Ilan Jungster, which examines the relationship between a fiber diet and the change of the microbiome in the intestine by acetylation of proteins. The prizes were awarded by the director of the medical center, Dr. Osnat Levzion Korah, the director of the Institute of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases, Prof. Chaim Shirin and Ziggy’s family members, his wife Nira and his daughters Dana Harel and Sharon Reuz.
