The emergency department at Shamir Medical Center is one of the busiest in the country with approximately 160,000 visits per year.

The establishment of a new emergency medicine department in an area of ​​6,000 square meters, 3 levels with 32 centralized operating rooms and an inpatient tower with 20 wards is the first step in making the Shamir Medical Center the largest in Israel. that will allow medical treatment to be provided to a large number of patients at the same time.

The planning and design of the hospital and the hospital building are intended to improve the patient’s experience in the hospitalization and healing processes, and therefore special emphasis is placed on the innovation of the facilities and design in accordance with international standards. The new building will be a protected structure that will allow continued operations in times of emergency and war, including under missile attack. The new medical center and hospital building will include:
